Rainbow Pancakes - RECIPE



Rainbow Pancakes are a colourful twist on the classic dish. Flour, milk and eggs are combined with food dye to make beautiful, vibrant batters. Gently fried and topped with butter and maple syrup, this is a fun way to brighten up breakfast - give it a go!

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

2 Cups of Self Raising Flour
1/4 Teaspoon of Bicarbonate of Soda (Baking Soda)
1 3/4 Cups of Milk
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
1 Egg
1/4 Cup of Caster Sugar
Food Dyes
Spray Oil or Melted Butter (for greasing pan)
Butter and/or Maple Syrup (to serve)


Preparation Time:  About 5 minutes
Cooking Time: About 20 minutes

MAKES ABOUT 10 LARGE PANCAKES (depending on size)


ALL MEASUREMENTS GIVEN ARE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD METRIC
