Chocolate Mud Cake - RECIPE



Chocolate Mud Cake is a decadent chocolate cake with a rich ganache frosting. Dark chocolate, butter, sugar, flour and eggs are combined to create a thick batter. Baked and cooled, the cake is then smothered in a rich chocolate ganache and grated milk chocolate - give it a go!

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

CAKE:

200g Dark Chocolate (chopped)
250g Butter
1 Cup of Cold Water
2 Cups of Castor Sugar (Super Fine White Sugar)
1 Cup of Plain Flour
1 Cup of Self Raising Flour
1/4 Cup of Cocoa Powder
2 Eggs (lightly beaten)

GANACHE:

200g Dark Chocolate (chopped)
2/3 Cup of Thickened Cream (any cream suitable for whipping)

Preparation Time:  20 minutes
Cooking Time:  About 45-50 minutes

SERVES 8
