Fruit Mince Pies - CHRISTMAS RECIPE
Fruit Mince Pies are a traditional festive treat and an essential for any Christmas celebration. Dried Fruit is combined with brandy, brown sugar, citrus zest and grated apple. The fruit mince is enveloped in home made sweet shortcrust pastry and baked until golden. These gorgeous pies will be a big hit - give it a go!

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:
PASTRY:
2 Cups of Plain Flour
3/4 Cup of Icing Sugar (Powdered Sugar / Confectioners Sugar)
150g of Butter (chopped)
2 - 3 Tablespoons of Iced Water
FRUIT MINCE:
1 Cup of Mixed Dried Fruit
1 Green Apple (grated)
1/3 Cup of Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon of Grated Lemon Zest
1 Teaspoon of Grated Orange Zest
1/2 Teaspoon of Nutmeg
1/2 Teaspoon of Mixed Spice
1 Tablespoon of Lemon Juice
1 Tablespoon of Brandy
25g of Butter (melted)
Preparation Time: About 20 minutes
Cooking Time: About 30 minutes
MAKES 12 PIES
