Banoffee Mess | One Pot Chef



ONE POT CHEF COOKBOOKS - PAPERBACKS AND EBOOKS:

Banoffee Mess is a sensational dessert that can be made in as little as 10 minutes! Whipped cream is combined with crumbled meringue then layers with bananas and toffee sauce. Garnished with a little grated dark chocolate, this speedy dessert is great for last minute dinner parties or whenever you medically need something sweet immediately - give it a go!

300ml of Whipping Cream
8 Store Bought Meringue Nests (aka mini pavlova shells)
1/2 Cup of Toffee Sauce (or sauce of your choosing)
2 Bananas (sliced)
50g of Dark Chocolate (grated)

Preparation Time: About 10 minutes

SERVES 4

RECIPE FACT SHEET

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

2 Cups of White Sugar
1 Tablespoon of White Vinegar
1/2 Teaspoon of Cream of Tartar (optional - if making soft, chewy toffees)
3/4 Cup of Water
2 Tablespoons of 100's and 1000's / Rainbow Sprinkles etc


Preparation Time:  About 5 minutes
Cooking Time: About 20 minutes

MAKES ABOUT 10 TOFFEES (depending on size)

NOTE: If you have trouble removing the papers from the completed toffees, simply dip them in some water and the papers will peel off easily ;)

Chocolate Banoffee Pies - RECIPE



Chocolate Banoffee Pies are decadent, super sweet desserts. Crushed cookies are combined with butter to create the base. A Chocolate / Caramel filling is topped with slices of Banana and whipped cream to create a dessert that everyone will be talking about - give it a go!

250g Packet of Plain Sweet Cookies (I used Choc Ripple)
100g Butter (melted)

FILLING:

100g Butter
1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
400g Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
100g of Milk Chocolate (melted)
NOTE: For a stronger flavour, use Dark Chocolate instead of Milk Chocolate.

TOPPING:

2 Bananas (sliced)
Whipped Cream
1 Teaspoon of Cocoa Powder


Preparation Time: About 20 minutes
Chilling Time: About 1 hour

MAKES ABOUT 9 PIES

25g of Butter (chopped)
1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
1 Cup of Boiling Water
