Christmas Ham and Cheese Pies | One Pot Chef



My Christmas Ham and Cheese Pies are great for Christmas parties or using up leftovers after Christmas. Puff Pastry is cut into circles and filled with shaved ham, chopped Brie cheese and a little cranberry sauce. Baked until golden and puffed, these wonderful pies are best served warm. Easy to make, budget friendly and perfect for those will only a little bit of time for baking this holiday season - Try it today :)

Ingredients:

4 Sheets of Frozen Ready Rolled Puff Pastry (thawed)
100g of Thinly Sliced or Shaved Ham (I used Honey Ham)
200g of Brie (rind removed, chopped into small chunks)
3 to 4 Tablespoons of Cranberry Sauce / Jelly
1 Egg (Beaten)
Spray Oil (for greasing muffin pan)

Preparation Time: About 15 minutes 
Cooking Time: About 20 to 25 minutes

Home Made McDonald’s Big Mac Sauce - RECIPE



ONE POT CHEF COOKBOOKS ON iTUNES BOOKSTORE:

Home Made McDonald’s Big Mac Sauce is my version of the iconic burger condiment. While the actual recipe is a closely guarded secret, this version is easy to make, and is very close to the original. Perfect for burgers, sandwiches, used as a dip or even a salad dressing, this sauce is best used within 3 days of making - give it a go!

INGREDIENT LIST:

2 Tablespoons of Whole Egg Mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons of Sour Cream (or Natural Yoghurt)
2 Tablespoons of Tomato Ketchup
1 Teaspoon of White Vinegar
1 Tablespoon of Sweet Pickle Relish (I used “Sweet Mustard Pickles”)
1 Tablespoon of Finely Chopped Onion
1 Teaspoon of Sugar
A few drops of Tabasco or similar hot sauce

Preparation Time: About 5 minutes

MAKES ABOUT 1 CUP (APPROX. 4 SERVINGS)

Ultimate Salted Caramel Sauce - RECIPE

My Ultimate Salted Caramel Sauce is a delicious topping that is suitable for a wide range of desserts. Sugar and water are simmered until golden. Butter, cream and salt are added to complete the sauce. Rich, creamy with a slightly salty twist, this glorious sauce can be used on ice cream, cakes, puddings, as an ingredient in other desserts or simply enjoyed straight out of the jar - give it a go!

1 Cup (200g) of Regular White Sugar
1/2 Cup of Water
100g of Butter
1/2 Cup of Whipping Cream
1 Teaspoon of Salt

Note: Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Sauce is best when served warm ;)

Home Made Cranberry Sauce - CHRISTMAS RECIPE

Home Made Cranberry Sauce is a delicious accompaniment to any Christmas feast. Cranberries are combined with sugar, orange juice and freshly grated orange rind.. Thick, fruity, sweet and tart, this sauce is perfect with turkey, ham or other Christmas meats  - give it a go!

300g of Fresh or Frozen Cranberries
1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup of Orange Juice

NOTE: Cranberry Sauce will keep in the fridge for up to one week. Keep in a sealed, airtight container.

1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder

1 Tablespoon of Wholegrain Mustard
2 Tablespoons of Tomato Paste
2 Tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
400g Can of Diced Tomatoes
1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup of Water
1/2 Cup of Apple Cider Vinegar

Preparation Time:  About 10 minutes
Cooking Time: About 20 minutes

MAKES ABOUT 750ml

This can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 month.

Veal Schnitzel with Creamy Mushroom Sauce is an amazingly simple but tasty recipe. Veal steaks are beaten and tenderised to create thin fillets. They are crumbed and fried, then served with a delicious creamy mushroom sauce. This will become a quick family favourite - so give it a try today!

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

Schnitzels:

2 Small Veal Steaks
1 Cup of Plain Flour
1 Cup of Dry Bread Crumbs
1/2 Cup of Parmesan Cheese (Powdered Shaker-Style)
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup of Milk
Salt and Pepper
Butter (for frying, or use vegetable oil)

Creamy Mushroom Sauce:

1 Cup of Button Mushrooms (Sliced Thinly)
Butter (for frying)
2 (Large) Tablespoons of Sour Cream
1/2 Cup of Grated Cheddar Cheese
Salt and Pepper (to season)

Makes 2 Schnitzels with Sauce

Preparation Time: 10 minutes (+ 20 minutes Chilling Time)
Cooking Time: About 10 minutes
