Slow Cooker Lasagna | One Pot Chef

Slow Cooker Lasagna is a deliciously simple way to make the classic Italian baked pasta dish. Layers of tomato sauce, a cheese and spinach mixture and pasta sheets are stacked in the crock pot then left to cook. Topped with cheese, this brilliantly simple version is endlessly adaptable and guaranteed to become your new favourite recipe - give it a go!

2 x 500g Jars of Tomato Pasta Sauce
2 x 500g Packs of Ricotta Cheese
2 Cups of Grated Mozzarella Cheese
1 Cup of Grated Parmesan Cheese
250g of Chopped Spinach (I used frozen!)
30g Sachet of Dried Vegetable Soup Mix
About 8 to 12 Dried Lasagna Pasta Sheets (depending on size of pot)
Extra Cheese (for topping)

Preparation Time: About 15 minutes 
Cooking Time: About 5 to 6 hours on LOW setting

SERVES 6- 8

Chicken and Spinach Lasagne - RECIPE



Chicken and Spinach Lasagne is an easy and delicious twist on a classic Italian dish. Shredded roast chicken is combined with baby spinach, onion and garlic and spread between layers of fresh pasta sheets. A creamy cheese topping is added and this amazing main meal is ready to bake - give it a go!

1 Barbecued Chicken (meat stripped and shredded)
50g Baby Spinach
Olive Oil
1 Large Brown Onion (chopped)
2 Cloves of Garlic (crushed)
1 1/2 Tablespoons of Plain Flour
1 1/2 Cups of Liquid Chicken Stock
3 Fresh Lasgane Pasta Sheets
Pepper
250g Ricotta Cheese
1 1/4 Cups of Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese

Preparation Time: About 20 minutes
Cooking Time: About 45 minutes

SERVES 4 - 6

Welcome to a special SUPER SIZED episode of "The One Pot Chef" :)

Easy Beef Lasagne is a simplified, pantry-friendly version of the classic Italian dish. A meaty tomato sauce is combined with pasta and a deliciously creamy Béchamel cheese sauce to create a fantastic family favourite.

This version uses many pantry based ingredients, but their fresh alternatives can be substituted if you desire.

RECIPE FACT SHEET

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

MEAT SAUCE

500g of Lean Beef Mince (Ground Beef)
1 Medium Brown Onion (Diced)
2 Cloves of Crushed Garlic
Olive Oil
1 Can of Diced Tomatoes
1 Jar of Plain Spaghetti / Pasta Sauce
2 Tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
Dried Mixed Italian Herbs
1 Litre (4 Cups) of Vegetable Stock (use Beef Stock if you prefer)

BECHAMEL CHEESE SAUCE

50g of Butter
1/2 Cup of Flour
1 Litre of Milk
2 Cups of Tasty Cheese (Grated)
1 Egg (Beaten)

Plus enough dry lasagne pasta sheets to fill your baking dish
(I used 2 packets)



Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking Time: 50 minutes @ 200 degrees Celsius
