Lemon Slice - RECIPE

Lemon Slice is an old fashioned sweet treat made with basic ingredients. A soft, buttery cookie base is covered in a creamy, lemon topping and baked until firm. Served in squares, this recipe is great for morning/afternoon tea or for a last minute bake sale - Give it a go!

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

1 1/2 Cups of Plain Flour
1/2 Cup of Icing Sugar (Powdered Sugar / Confectioners Sugar)
150g Butter (melted)
400g Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/2 Cup of Lemon Juice
1 Egg
2 Tablespoons of Self Raising Flour (or 2 Tablespoons of Plain Flour + 1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder)

MAKES 24 SQUARES

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: About 45 minutes + Chilling Time
